Winning painting of the Critics’ Prize

at the 14th Giovanni Romagnoli Prize (2011)

with the following motivation:

There is a strong aspect in this work that seems to be summarized in the theme of ambiguity. In the foreground there are figures looking out of a window, but these figures we cannot know whether to define them as aliens or masks and at the same time we question ourselves or remain in doubt if their gaze is that of curious observers or potential enemies (as being a we aliens) interested representatives of another world. But precisely in the representation of this ambiguity, rendered with technical skill and chromatic balance in the alternation of the classic sienna with modern fluorescent colors derived from the graphic world, one of the founding aspects of the values of art has always been fixed.
